Lindsay Lohan has taken to social media in support of film producer Harvey Weinstein, saying she feels “really bad” for the film producer who has been accused — on multiple occasions — of sexual harassment and assault.
The Mean Girls actress also issued a message to the movie mogul’s wife, fashion designer Georgina Chapman, who recently announced that she intends to leave her husband of 10 years.
“Hi! I’m in Dubai. I’m home and I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now. I don’t think it’s right what’s going on,” she said in the now-deleted Instagram video posted Monday night. “I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband.”
The 31-year-old added: “He’s never harmed me or did anything to me — we’ve done several movies together. I think everyone needs to stop — I think it’s wrong. So stand up.”
The video, which was delivered in her self-described “LiLohan” Irish-lilted accent, quickly received backlash.
“Your interactions with him aren’t the same as anyone else’s,” one commenter wrote, adding: “You should be commending the woman who had the courage to speak out!”
Lindsay has appeared in two Weinstein Company productions, Bobby and Scary Movie 5. She played a small supporting role in each movie.

In the wake of Weinstein’s shocking sexual assault scandal, his wife Georgina, 41, has confirmed that she’s leaving her husband over his “unforgivable actions.”
In a statement released to People the Marchesa designer, who shares a seven-year-old daughter, India Pearl, and a four-year-old, Dashiell Max Robert, with the Hollywood heavyweight, explained: “My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions.”
“I have chosen to leave my husband. Caring for my young children is my first priority and I ask the media for privacy at this time.”
After nearly ten years of marriage, it’s officially over for Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman.
The famed fashion designer said her young children would remain her priority during this time.
Georgina had previously said that she would stick by her husband.
The divorce news comes just days after Weinstein insisted he had his wife’s full support.
“She stands 100 per cent behind me. Georgina and I have talked about this at length,” Weinstein told the New York Post.
“Georgina will be with Lisa [lawyer Lisa Bloom, who is no longer representing the star] and others kicking my ass to be a better human being and to apologise to people for my bad behaviour, to say I’m sorry, and to absolutely mean it.”
However, as the story further develops and the true extent of his apparent actions come to light — which now include rape allegations — Georgina has clearly had an understandable change of heart.
