The Self Evident Truths is an inspiring organisation that aims to share images of Americans who fall somewhere on the LGBT scale in an effort to ensure their voices are heard.

The artist behind the project, iO Tillett Wright, explains: “I’m going to photograph 10,000 people in this country who identify as anywhere on the LGBT spectrum… the idea is to humanise us for those who think they don’t know any LGBT people.”

Lily-Rose’s photograph was shared on the artist’s Instagram page with the caption, “I’m so proud of my baby girl @lilyrose_depp.”

It continued: “She decided she wanted to be in @selfevidentproject because she falls somewhere on the vast spectrum and I couldn’t be happier to welcome her to the family. She’s a tiny gem of a good human.”

The model also took to her Instagram page to share a photo from her shoot with the project’s official hashtag #weareyou. The project has already been supported by the likes of Cara Delevingne, Kylie Minogue and Sia.

Lily’s step-mum Amber Heard, who identifies as bi-sexual, is also among the big name celebrities who have lent their fame to boost recognition of the organisation.
