With the divorce papers signed and submitted, Liam Hemsworth is ready to close the chapter on his seven-month marriage to Miley Cyrus and move on.
But he’s not doing it alone! According to insiders, the actor, 29, has been leaning on old fling Jennifer Lawrence – with their secrets texts and late-night phone calls helping Liam get through the nasty separation.
“There’s always been a spark between Liam and Jennifer,” a pal of the actress tells NW. “And the phone lines have been buzzing between them since his split with Miley.”
The pair have been close ever since starring in The Hunger Games together, with J-Law once calling Liam her “best friend”.
And while the actress, also 29, is set to wed beau Cooke Maroney, that hasn’t stopped the star from being there for Liam.
“She adores him – and it’s clear he feels the same way,” continues the source.
“Jen’s often said he’s pretty much her dream man, but they never quite got to the exclusive stage. Now it’d surprise no-one if she’s having second thoughts about the wedding.”

“Each has a dirt dossier on the other party and Miley’s told the best lawyers in town to do whatever it takes to grind Liam into the dirt.”
Thankfully, the actor got first dibs on Laura Wasser, a high-profile divorce laywer who has famously represented Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum and Angelina Jolie.
“He’s equally bitter and vowing not to be pushed around by Miley and her horrible hangers-on,” a second source tells us. “It’s a serious war of attrition, which is only made uglier by the fact they’re in separate countries and both in a highly vengeful, strung-out state.”
