Delta Goodrem and Lauren Huxley reveal their special friendship over brunch in LA…
When Australia’s two favourite survivors Delta Goodrem and Lauren Huxley caught up for a girls’ day out in glamorous Los Angeles, their past troubles couldn’t have been further from their minds.
The emotional meeting between assault victim Lauren, 21, and cancer survivor Delta, who turns 24 this week, was a long time in the making.
“It’s taken a lot of organisation!” explains the chart-topping singer. “I’ve flown from Sydney and made a pit stop in LA just to spend the day with the girls. Then I head to New York tomorrow morning and get ready for a performance there.”
Lauren, who was joined by her elder sister Simone, 24, was thrilled to be healthy enough to spend the day shopping and chatting with her idol.
“Delta is the most beautiful person we have met,” she says. “We have been fans since she was 15 years old. We saw her in the local paper [in Sydney] when she started and we knew she was going to be a star…
