Rare pictures of Marilyn Monroe will be auctioned next month by photographer George Barris.
Barris, who was a close friend of Monroe took the stunning shots on July 13, 1962. Just three weeks later Monroe was found dead in her Los Angeles home.
Overcome with sadness Barris refused to publish the images for 25 years.
But the photographer has teamed up with Hollywood glamour collector Edward Weston, to print a limited edition of 99 prints from his original negatives.
In the images Marilyn shows off her cheeky grin while playing around in the surf of a California beach.
The images will be auctioned on June 4 by Bloomsbury Auctions and are expected to sell for more than $1500 AUD each.
