“Lamar has made some progress, but his cognitive impairment is making life very challenging,” the source shared.

“Lamar won’t likely leave the hospital for a long time. And when he does, he will need full time care. He can’t take care of himself.”

The 36-year-old NBA player is currently in hospital after being found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel on October 13. He suffered a number of mini-strokes and was in a coma for several days as his organs failed.

Lamar, once a star NBA player, will now have to re-learn how to walk, following a coma and a series of mini-strokes.

Estranged wife Khloe Kardashian recently told Ryan Seacrest that Lamar’s recovery would take “a year – at least” but stated that he was “doing great compared to where he was,” revealing that Lamar was no longer on life support.

“They told me that he had four hours. It’s a horrible call to get,” Khloe said during an interview with the Today Show.

“His brain is still affected, and physically, he has to learn to walk again. He’s learning how to feed himself again, and all those normal things we take for granted every day. And it’s a really long road, and it’s going to take a long time,” Khloe shared.

The doctors have told Khloe that Lamar’s recovery could take up to two years, but that there are no guarantees.
