Kylie Minogue may have enjoyed a pop career spanning 25 years but the singer admits she is still a worrier.
The pop princess, who has sold millions of albums worldwide, told reporters she still frets about her career.
“I still worry about a lot of things and my anxiety levels can go through the roof, especially on tour, although I don’t think they’re as bad as they used to be,” Kylie said.
The 46-year-old is about to kick off her UK tour later this month but says it’s hard to snap back to reality after taking her life on the road.
“It can be tough,” Kylie said, “and I believe there’s a recognised condition of post-tour depression. When you’ve been away on tour where your adrenaline is going every day it can happen.
“I have friends who say they look forward to doing nothing after a tour but I always tell them that’s the worst thing you can do.
“Your adrenal glands are screaming, ready to go, so you have to keep active.”
The Voice Australia coach said once the tour wraps she plans to stay grounded in the company of her friends.
“Whenever I get off tour I make sure I see all my friends to find out what they’ve been doing.
“It’s like, ‘Enough about me, what have you been doing?’ It’s very easy to get out of the loop so it’s great catching up.”
After spending such a long time in the spotlight Kylie has mastered the art of reinvention and has radically changed her look dozens of times.
These pictures trace her dramatic makeover from baby-faced schoolgirl to bona fide pop star.
