Kylie Minogue is reportedly “devastated” after ending her five-year romance with Spanish model Andres Velencoso.
The singer’s spokesperson confirmed the relationship was over yesterday, saying Kylie, 45, and Andres, 35, were still friends and insisting no one else was involved in the split.
Friends say Kylie was the one who called time on the romance after the pressures of her work schedule became “unbearable”.
Kylie is currently working on her 12th studio album and sitting on the judging panel of the UK’s version of The Voice.
“Kylie and Andres haven’t been spending much time together because she’s been holed up in the studio in LA working on her new album,” an insider told the UK’s Daily Mail.
“He’s also been trying to carve out an acting career for himself. When she signed up for The Voice they knew they couldn’t cope with the long distance pressures the job would put on them.
“This is a big blow for her.”
The split comes just 12 months after Kylie told a magazine Andres was “the one”.
The couple met on the set of an advertisement for Kylie’s perfume range in 2008 and have been virtually inseparable since.
