The Morning Show host Kylie Gillies has taken to Instagram to share a picture of her twinning moment with Meghan Markle as they both wore a striking red top.
Kylie shared an image of her and co-host Larry Emdur imitating The Duke and Duchess of Sussex in the new photos released from the One Young World summit.
“The Duke and Duchess of BS. That’s my caption,” she wrote.
“Larry’s caption is: ‘At least two men in this photo have played naked billiards in Vegas. And at least two women in this photo would do anything to get the keys to a Castle’. I think @larryemdur ‘s caption wins.”
The Channel Seven co-hosts copied the Duke and Duchess’ poses and facial expressions – a task they admitted required self re-shoots.
“Seriously we were a few segments into today’s Morning Show when we realised the fashion similarities. Took us another three segments to get the pic right,” she proceeded to write,
Kylie chose to style her outfit a bit differently with a purple skirt. But her post followed nearly a month after Sunrise host Natalie Barr shared her own side-by-side comparison, joking the Duchess stole her look.
“Glad the courier got it to you in Manchester in time for the speech Megs! #happytoloan,” she captioned her Instagram post.
Meghan Markle wore the striking red outfit on her trip to the United Kingdom for the One Young World summit to discuss gender equality.
The newly released images were posted by photographer Misan Harriman, but the photos were taken before the summit’s opening ceremony on September 5. However, the images divided royal fans after the images were taken only days before the Queen’s death.
“The Duke & Duchess of Sussex moments before attending the opening ceremony of @OneYoungWorld last month,” Misan captioned the image.
Some fans praised Misan for capturing the couple’s “strength” and “devotion”. Critics questioned the timing of the portrait’s release and suggested it was in “bad taste”.
