Kim Kardashian has been forced to slam speculation that she accidentally Snapchatted footage of herself using cocaine.
On July 10th, North West’s mum shared a sneak peek at her new range of her The Kids Supply clothing line.
But an eagle-eyed fan was quick to point out a white powdery substance that was clearly visible on the counter in the background of the clip.
“Ohhhhhh @KimKardashian caught out with cocaine .. durtayyyyy,” the follower tweeted into the atmosphere.
But before things could develop into a full-blown drug scandal, Kim quickly shut down the allegations.
“I do not play with rumours like this so I’m gonna shut it down real quick. That’s sugar from our candy mess from Dylan’s candy shop,” she tweeted on July 11.
Indeed, Kim was seen taking her daughter North to Dylan’s Candy Shop in New York the previous day, with the duo stocking up on many sugary treats.
But, afterwards Kim discovered that the suspicious white substance were actually markings on the table. “Okay you guys, I just got back to my hotel room,” Kim explained in an Instagram video. “And look at this table, same position. It is still there!’ she said pointing at the marks on the marble table.
“So we did go to Dylan’s Candy Shop,” she explained. “I did think that it was our pixie sticks.”
“But after all that, this table at the background – is a marble table, you guys! Like, come on!” She continued. “I don’t play like that. Like, come on. I have kids. It’s just not my lifestyle. I don’t think I’ve ever been like that… I just really can’t believe this – that it was a marble table. And I thought it was candy. LOL.”
However, this isn’t the first time the Kardashian clan have dealt with drug chatter.
Kim does not keep up with illegal substances
Kim has always taken a strong stance on drugs and has made it an effort to avoid drugs and alcohol her entire life.
“I’ve never been a drinker, I’ve never gotten into drugs,” she said on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno back in 2010.
What’s more, Kim revealed that she felt like the responsible one in the clan, often taking on the role of designated driver.
“My dad [Robert Kardashian] always put such a big responsibility on me,” she revealed on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen back in May.
“In high school and college, Kourtney [Kardashian] was such a big drinker,” she continued.
“My dad was really well aware. So when I was 14, he would teach me to drive his car and made me go with my sister every weekend to watch her [at parties]. I’d drive everyone home, everyone would take advantage of me and only have me hang out just to drive everyone home. I felt this sense of responsibility.”
Yeezy says yes to “candy”
Unlike his wife, Kanye West is rumoured to have had a long history of drug and alcohol abuse and reportedly used cocaine in the past.
“Kanye’s drugs of choice are cocaine and booze, Hennessy specifically,” a source told Radar Online.
“He’s got big problems!”
What’s more, in November 2016 the rapper had to be hospitalised for what is rumoured to be his inconsistent pattern of taking prescription meds.
Sources revealed to TMZ that Kanye is steady on his meds but he deviated from his prescribed dosage and this led to his eventual breakdown.
Kendall also clashed with cola…
Just like her big sis, Kendall Jenner also sparked controversy back in July 2016, when she posted a Snapchat photo of a little plastic bag that is used for transporting cocaine.
Kendall captioned the snap, “this is the cutest little zip lock baggie I have ever seen” and it didn’t take long before fans began to speculate about its contents.
Of course, there is no proof that the bag contained an illegal substance but that didn’t stop people from calling out Kendall.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the model has been linked to drugs.
Rumours circulated that there were drugs at her graduation party after a video emerged showing one guest rubbing a mysterious substance in his mouth. Fans were quick to speculate it was drugs.
But, Kenny’s sister Khloe Kardashian – who was also in the video – immediately shut down the rumours.
“You guys will make up anything,” she tweeted. “No! No one was doing coke at a graduation in broad day light with teenagers and 15 production cameras!”
