Kerri-Anne and John Kennerley have been through an arduous journey, but the couple are finally smiling again.
The bubbly TV personality took to Instagram to reveal that her husband had reached his milestone 76th birthday, and the pair were ringing it in with style… And a cake!
Sharing a photo from the birthday boy’s hospital bed, the 62-year-old embraced her leading man, as she held onto his cake and balloons at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.
Alongside the snap, Kerri-Anne penned, “Hip Hip Hooray it’s John’s birthday today.”
Nine presenter Wendy Kingston, Julia Morris and former Miss Universe Australia Tegan Martin, were among many who were quick to wish the 76-year-old a very happy birthday
Meanwhile The Block’s Shelley Craft sent this sweet message, “Happy Birthday John!! Sending you both all my love and best wishes. May this next year be your greatest yet!”
The past couple of weeks have been filled with triumphant milestones for the Kennerleys.
Most notabl in August, the pair celebrated 32 wonderful years of marriage, with Kerri-Anne marking the very special event by being with her husband John as he continued his recovery process.
“We have had a wonderful 32 years together,” she posted alongside a photo of both herself and John.
“Can’t wait until he comes home at the end of the year,” she says, referring to the time that her love is supposed to be allowed to leave the hospital.
The show business legend has supported her husband since his life-changing injury five months ago that left him partially paralysed.
She has previously said that his progress in recovering from the broken neck he sustained has been “very slow.”
KAK is currently transforming their house and garden to make it wheel-chair friendly in preparation for her husband’s homecoming at the end of the year.

Earlier this year, a tragic fall from a balcony ledge left John with fractures in his C3 and C4 vertebrae. As a result, he was diagnosed an incomplete quadriplegic.
Although he is still unable to walk, immense progress Kerri-Anne refers to as “minor miracles” have indeed been made.
Recalling the moment his resuscitation tube was removed, she said to Women’s Weekly, “It was the most profound sense of relief I have ever felt.”
“That was the moment when I felt he’d really come back to me.”
