Kerri-Anne Kennerley has announced her husband John is out of intensive care.
The TV personality took to Instagram to announce the news.
“After 6 and a half weeks in Intensive Care John is moving to the spinal unit,” she wrote.
The announcement was accompanied by a photo of John smiling in a neck brace, surrounded by his medical team.
“Just a few of the brilliant nurses and doctors who looked after him 24 hours a day. Thank you to these wonderful professionals.”
John, 72, suffered a tragic fall on March 6 and has been in Royal North Shore Hospital since.
He was diagnosed with incomplete quadriplegia and Kerri-Anne has remained by his side since.
Earlier this week, Kerri-Anne shared a touching photo of John with a very special visitor – Digger the dog.
“Today was the first time Digger recognised John and made us all happy. So true, pets are therapy,” she said.
