Her reality TV star family thrive on social media attention, so when Kendall Jenner made the decision to delete her Instagram this week, she sent fans into a spin.
Now the model has opened up on why she got rid of her account, despite having one of the most liked photos of all time.
“I just wanted a little bit of a break,” the 21-year-old confessed to Ellen DeGeneres during an interview on her show.
“I’m always on it. I feel like I would wake up in the morning and I would look at it first thing, I would go to bed and it was the last thing I would look at.”
“I felt a little dependent on it. It’s a detox.”
But she reassured fans that her hiatus wouldn’t be forever.
“I’ll be back, I’ll come back,” she said.
Kendall said she had no idea anyone would even care.
“It’s so crazy to me that it even became huge news like that,” she told Ellen.
“I mean I guess I didn’t expect it but I also took my Twitter off my phone.
“I didn’t delete my Twitter entirely but I took the app off my phone so I had no idea anyone was even talking about it and I honestly didn’t think anybody would care.”
Meanwhile, the reality TV star couldn’t stop gushing about her gorgeous new niece while on the show.
Her brother Rob Kardashian and his fiancé Blac Chyna welcomed a little girl and a niece for Kendall into the world recently.
The pair named the bundle of joy Dream Kardashian.
“She’s a dream. She’s so beautiful,” the leggy model said of her new niece.
Kendall was stoked her brother was so besotted with his little girl.
“He’s so happy, it makes me so happy!” Kendall gushed. “I could literally cry. It’s like the cutest, I love it.”
