John’s wife won’t let the latest shocking scandal shatter her family.
John Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, have weathered scandal after scandal through the years, targeting their Scientology beliefs, son Jett’s tragic death and John’s sexuality. But since the birth of baby Benjamin in 2010, it seemed their world had finally righted itself.
Sadly, just when they thought the worst was behind them for good, another story has hit global headlines, this time alleging John made sexual advances to two male masseurs. And Kelly has again been forced to defend her man. “Kelly has always ignored the rumours about John, and this time is no different,” a close friend of the actress tells Woman’s Day. “He’s the father of her children, her best friend – she knows him better than anyone.”
John’s lawyer, Hollywood legal heavyweight Marty Singer, has also leapt to John’s defence, threatening to counter sue and labelling the claims “ridiculous and absurd”. While the alleged sexual assault on the first masseur is said to have occurred in LA on January 16, pictures have surfaced online of the actor in New York on the same day. Website TMZ.com has also published a copy of a bill from a Manhattan restaurant that’s believed to have been paid by John that night.
But the lawyer for both masseurs, Okorie Okorocha, insists his clients are telling the truth – and that there are more just like them. “I’m getting a lot of calls from a lot of men who have the same allegations,” Okorie says in a statement. “They come up with facts that weren’t in the complaint but that my other clients have mentioned … there are a lot of people who are coming out of the woodwork.”
