Keith Urban has once again upped the ante on how to be romantic.
Keith Urban has once again upped the ante on how to be romantic.
While performing in Melbourne on Wednesday night, the country singer dedicated a sweet song to his wife, Nicole Kidman, to mark the couples eight year anniversary.
‘I sang this at our wedding eight years ago – I was too cheap to get someone else to sing it,” Keith told Nicole, who was in the crowd.
‘Eight years baby girl – this song is for you. I love you so much,” he added.
Nicole, 47, and Keith, 46, tied the knot in a romantic and traditional candlelit ceremony in Sydney back in 2006.
And with two adorable children Sunday Rose, 5, and Faith Margaret, 3, the last eight years have no doubt been an exciting ride for the lovebirds.
Keith recently shared their love story with an audience during his Aussie tour, as he dedicated the song, Once In A Lifetime, to his wife.
“This is a true story. In 2006 my wife and I — my fiancee and I — were figuring out our wedding,” he said.
“It was all set and we were in a hotel and we were talking about the future, about getting married, and she started to get really worried about getting married because it’s a huge thing and it s not something that you take lightly and it’s a leap of faith.
“It’s all of those things and she was scared. So I totally understood that and I was trying to reassure her that I’m her guy, I’m your guy baby.”
The Australian country singer has also previously credited Nicole with helping him to overcome his drug addiction.
