Keith Urban gave a heartfelt speech at the CMT Awards in Tenessee, thanking his wife Nicole Kidman for giving his “life meaning like it never ever has before.”
Keith Urban picked up the Artist of the Year award at the Country Music Television.Awards ceremony in Nashville, Tenessee. He used his acceptance speech to praise his wife Nicole Kidman, or “Nicole Mary” as he called her!
Keith said: “I have an amazing crew who take such good care of me … none other than the person who takes care of me the most and I love the most in the world — my wife, Nicole Mary. I’m so glad you’re here tonight.
“It all makes sense because you’re in the world, baby. Everything I do has purpose and meaning now like it never ever has before. I think these things aren’t happening by coincidence. There’s just real meaning in why I do what I do, and it’s all from you and our girls. I’m so glad you’re here.”
Keith, 47, was also referring to the two daughters he and Nicole have together, Sunday Rose, 6, and Faith Margaret, 3. Recently Nicole hinted too that she would be reuniting with her two older children by first husband Tom Cruise, Isabella, 21, and Connor, 19, whom she had been estranged from for some time. Now though she is overjoyed as it is believed they are reuniting for Christmas.
It seems like even after eight years of marriage, Keith and Nicole are just as in love as ever. Living up to their reputation for public displays of affection, they were also seen gazing adoringly at one another on the red carpet as Nicole looked stunning in a body-skimming black dress with a sheer skirt.

As well as gushing about Nicole though, Keith also remembered to thank the people that brought him his success – the audience.
“People go, ‘Why is the audience so important?’
“I go, ‘Because without them, it’s just one long soundcheck.’ That’s it. It’s why we do what we do, so thank you very much.”
