According to the 30-year-old, she most definitely is not.
The Daily Telegraph have published an alleged recent interview with the pop star, but the singer has taken to Twitter to clear up the facts.
In the chat, which the Roar hitmaker says is in fact three years old, Katy discussed love, life and how she won’t let heartbreak dictate her life.
“[Ex-husband Russell Brand] hasn’t spoken to me since he texted me saying he was filing for divorce. I don’t want to talk about him – my songs will say what I need to say,” she told the publication.
Tweeting to her 70.2 million followers on Tuesday, Katy revealed that the interview and quote were very dated.
“It’s really inappropriate when journalists repurpose interviews done 3 yrs ago in context of promoting a film & then stamp a new date on it,” she penned.
Katy’s love life has been a driving source of inspiration for many of her songs, with her album, Prism being inspired by the end of her whirlwind marriage to Russell Brand.
Meanwhile the British comedian admitted that despite truly loving Katy, their conflicting schedules played a huge part in the demise of their marriage.
Speaking to Howard Stern just two days after their divorce was finalised, he said, “We did work it out, she’s happy, I’m happy. I was really, really in love with her, but it was difficult to see each other, it mostly didn’t work for practical reasons.”
“I don’t want anything to hurt her. She’s younger than me, she’s a young woman and she’s beautiful and she’s sensitive and I care about her deeply.” He added.
Katy has since been romantically linked with fellow musicians, Diplo and most recently on-and-off beau, John Mayer.
