The Roar songstress, 32, who is reportedly a natural blonde, surprised fans (and Hollywood alike) over the weekend by swapping her famed blacker-than-black locks for a daring new look – strawberry blonde.
The bold move is rumoured to be a tribute to boyfriend and British actor Orlando Bloom, who switched from brunette to bleach blonde a few months back.
Now the pair are #twining!

Of course, we’ve seen Katy tackle pink, blue and even purple hair but we think she looks most different with this new strawberry blonde hue.
Katy debuted her newly dyed, bleached blonde bob on Saturday night as she attended artist Sham Ibrahim’s new gallery exhibit in Palm Springs.
But before going public with the plucky new ‘do Katy attended Orlando’s surprise 40th birthday party which she threw for him in Palm Springs, California, on Saturday, January 14.
Documenting all the revelry on her Instagram story, Katy posted a video of the 40-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star as he blew out the candles on his birthday cake – a two tier creation with an owl shaped cake topper, no less.
The bash, organised by party planner to the stars Mindy Weiss, also seemed to have a rather peculiar take home gift – giant pyjama-like onesies adorned with Orlando’s hotter-than-hot face.
In another hilarious stunt, the event’s photobooth included a backdrop of the actor paddle boarding, nude but for a hat, that could be used by guests for selfies.
You’ll remember the cheeky photo that quickly went viral after Orlando was snapped on a paddle boarding trip with girlfriend Katy Perry.
The event was star studded to say the least with a-listers such as Jennifer Aniston (who shares mutual ex John Mayer with Katy) and her husband, Justin Theroux, among the many celeb attendees.
But perhaps the most important person on the guest list was the Digging for Fire star’s mum.
Orlando took to Instagram to share a sweet photo of the VIP surprise guest, which he captioned, “best gift ever surprise visit from me mum.”
The lavish event comes as no surprise to those who have been following Katy in recent months.
Speaking with The Sun newspaper, a source recently said, “Katy is determined to make this year the best ever and is not letting money get in the way. She wants a combination of holidays and ‘bucket list’ experiences, including seeing some of the world’s most famous sights.”
Surely this past weekend has ticked a few boxes for the adventurous star!
