It looks like things are back on between pop-star Katy Perry and her former flame John Mayer after the pair were spotted cosying up after the American Super Bowl yesterday.
Katy might have blown the crowd away during her Super Bowl halftime performance, but it was what she got up to afterwards that really set tongues wagging! Her guest star in the performance viewed by millions around the world, Missy Elliot, tweeted a picture after the show of herself alongside a very cosy looking John Mayer and Katy Perry.
Katy clearly doesn’t care who knows that she’s getting cosy with John again after Missy tweeted to her 2.5 million followers: “After party Super Bowl with @johnmayor @katyperry”
Katy has been linked to John since her split from husband Russell Brand in 2012, but it’s believed the duo definitively went their separate ways in February 2014.
Since then Katy had been linked to music producer Diplo, but it seemed that fizzled out too.
There have been quite a few ‘are they or aren’t they?’ moments in the course of John and Katy’s tumultuous relationship, but after not being seen together for almost a year it seemed like things were definitely over between the two – until this year, that is.

The duo were recently spotted joining friends for a dinner date in Beverly Hills before reportedly heading back to Katy’s place – where John stayed until 4am!
One insider told US Weekly that John and Katy have indeed “reconnected”, adding, “Things just needed to cool down. They aren’t officially back on but talking again.”
There have also been reports that the couple have undergone counselling in a bid to give their relationship another ago – with Katy now confident enough to step out in public with John again it looks like this time it could be the real deal!
Katy also commemorated her milestone performance at the XLIX Super Bowl to an incredible audience of over 110 million with a tattoo to mark the occasion. She shared photos with her Instagram followers of her getting “XLIX” inked on her finger, and wrote: “I thought it would be appropriate to draw blood tonight… XLIX”.
