She’s the Queen of epic diss tracks, but Taylor Swift could find herself the subject of a revenge record.
Her ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris and her rival Katy Perry are making music together.
The Scottish DJ announced he’s working on his fifth studio album, Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, dropping June 30 and included on the star-studded list of artists he’s collaborating is Katy!
The Chained to the Rhythm singer has a complicated relationship with Tay, 27, to say the least. But now that she’s working with her ex, it’s only bound to add more fuel to the fire.
While Taylor and Katy have never directly addressed their famous feud, they have thrown plenty of shade at each other in the past.
“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Taylor told Rolling Stone magazine in 2014 about an unnamed singer – although fans quickly guessed she was talking about Katy,32.
“She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’ [Then] she did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies’.” Ouch!
Taylor’s anthem Bad Blood is also rumoured to be about her beef with Katy, although she still refuses to confirm if she inspired the hit track.
“That’s not my question to answer – if it’s about me,” Katy told Entertainment Weekly earlier this week.
But she did have one thing to say, which some say seemed to be directed at Tay…
“You can’t mistake kindness for weakness and don’t come for me,” she continued.
Meanwhile, there’s certainly no love lost between the one-time lovebirds.
Following the end of their relationship in June 2016, Calvin blasted Taylor in a Twitter rant. We’re guessing it had something to do with the singer’s sweeping new romance with Tom Hiddleston.
He claimed, “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy [Perry] ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry.”
