Katie Holmes revealed some of the criticisms she received at modelling school to Jimmy Fallon.
Katie Holmes, 35 was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed some of the insecurities she earned as a result of going to modelling school at the age of ten.
“They were trying to teach beauty,” said Katie of the teachers at her school. “They took me as an example and they dissected my face. They said, ‘you see, not perfect. Her eyes too far apart, her nose, lips not perfect, but altogether she’s not bad’.”
Jimmy contradicted them by holding up a recent magazine with Katie on the cover and saying “they’re wrong”.
Having grown up with her own set of insecurities, Katie spoke about how she is trying to do the right thing by her daughter Suri, 10.
“I think, of course, you try your best,” said Katie. “I try very hard because I am very grateful for my upbringing and my parents and siblings. I try to do what they did for me for my little one.”
It wasn’t all serious though, being Jimmy Fallon, of course he always has some fun with guests and he got Katie to join in with him taking selfies and playing with them on the “Photobooth” app before showing the audience the crazy results.
If Katie really thought there was something wrong with her face before – there certainly was by the time that she and Jimmy played with it in Photobooth!
