Just months after confirming their secret five-year relationship, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have split, according to reports.
Dawson’s Creek alum Katie, 39, is reportedly the one to call off the relationship after rumours swirled about Jamie dating other women during their time together.
“Katie just couldn’t get over her trust issues,” A source told Radar Online.
However, Katie’s publicist was quick to shoot down the rumours.
“The Radar story is 100 percent untrue,” Leslie Sloane, a rep for the actress, told PEOPLE.
Although the couple only confirmed their relationship in September last year, they were first linked back in August 2013.
The reason for the secrecy is believed to be down to Katie’s divorce agreement with Tom Cruise. Last year, Radar Online alleged the actress agreed to not publicly date anyone until five years have passed from her split with Tom.
“Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him or Scientology, or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce,” the source told the website.
“She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri,” they added.
Two years ago, Jamie, 48, was forced to deny he was dating Katie after a picture emerged of the two of them holding hands in a recording studio.
“Oh come on, you guys have been trying to make that stick for three years, we’re just friends!” he told TMZ.
He echoed this sentiment during a chat with Entertainment Tonight, saying, “It’s one hundred percent not true.”
