Katie Holmes has reportedly apologised for the way several celebrity guests were treated at her 2006 wedding to Tom Cruise.
Ex-Scientologist Lean Remini has claimed Holmes wrote to her to say sorry for the way Scientology bosses mistreated her and other friends at the lavish Italian ceremony.
Remini, who quit the controversial religion in 2013 after 30 years of membership, claims she was asked to bring friend Jennifer Lopez to the wedding, presumably so church leaders could convert her.
But once they got to the wedding, Remini and Lopez were kept apart, with church officials seating them at different tables and chauffeuring them around in separate cars.
“They were always trying to extract me,” Remini told US ABC’s 20/20. “I could only assume because they wanted to make Jennifer a Scientologist and maybe I was barring that road for them.”

Remini says the bizarre things she saw at the wedding convinced her that Tom Cruise and church leader David Miscavige were the root of all the religion’s problems.
“I now see where the cracks are in our Church, and it’s David Miscavige. It’s Tom Cruise,” she said. “They are bringing Scientology down.”
