Sometimes, turning back to an easier time in your life is exactly what you need.
And that seems to be the case for Kate Ritchie. The 38-year-old has turned to Summer Bay, aka Sydney’s Palm Beach where Home and Away is filmed, in light of her ongoing marital issues.
Kate, who played the beloved character Sally Fletcher for over two decades on the long-running soapie, took to Instagram to share with her 112k followers a rather telling message.
“It doesn’t quite solve the big issues like it used to but continues to have its claws in my heart and offer me some quiet ☀️ #palmbeach #summerbay #stillhaventbeentothelighthouse,” she penned alongside a sweet selfie.
One fan, Terry McCarthy, offered their support with this quote, “Close your eyes, you’ll see it, you’ll hear it no matter where you are in the world.”
Touched by the kind words, the radio star responded with a smiley face emoji.
In another post from the same outing, the 38-year-old reflected, “Sometimes you’ve just got to put your toes in the sand.. ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️ #palmy”
Meanwhile, the star also uploaded a note which read, “Ladies, lose your Chris Brown and find your Drake.”
The Home and Away star and her NRL beau, Stuart Webb, have been plagued with talks that their marriage is on the rocks.
The couple, who share their two-year-old daughter Mae, have remained tight-lipped on the matter.

Woman’s Day recently spoke to sources close to the couple about their fractured relationship.
“Kate and Stu’s relationship has been on the rocks since November last year. They didn’t want anyone to know because they haven’t decided if they’ll 100 per cent divorce yet,” a mutual friend of the duo revealed.
Kate’s cryptic posts come after it was revealed that Stuart is now believed to be living at the couple’s newly purchased home near Bowral in the NSW Southern Highlands, while she remains in Sydney with their little girl.
Notoriously private, Kate tried to dispel rumours of her marriage being on the rocks last month, flashing her diamond sparkler and a big smile for all to see while stepping out in Brisbane.
“Yes, they’re living apart for now, but they still see each other regularly for the sake of Mae,” our insider explained.
Kate and the former St George Illawarra Dragons player first got together in 2008 – just six weeks after the former Home and Away star split from professional skateboarder Corbin Harris.
In 2009, Stuart retired from professional football to work as an apprentice chef following a stint working in the mines – a career decision that has apparently taken its toll.
Meanwhile, unlike Stuart, Kate’s career has continued to go from strength to strength as she juggles her radio career, motherhood and countless endorsement deals.
“Kate wants time to reassess everything. She wants to focus on Mae and her career,” our source reveals, adding a return to the small screen is not out of the question.
For now, though, Kate is leaning on her mum Heather for support as she tries to figure out her future. “I love you Mum, and Mae adores her Nanny,” Kate poignantly shared on Instagram recently. “We are so thankful for you.”
