Even though they have both celebrated birthdays in lockdown, that hasn’t stopped Kate from making sure her only child felt special and loved on her big day.

Taking to her Instagram, the former Home and Away star revealed the most incredible cake she gifted Mae.

The mother and daughter team are a dynamic baking duo, so this park themed cake, in the shape of the number seven, would have meant a lot for little Mae.

Kate captioned the picture, “It was that time of year again..👩🏼‍🍳🎂🤍 #seven.”

The radio hosts’ famous friends quickly flooded the comment section with birthday wishes for Mae.

Singer Ricki Lee simply posted a red heart, and Jules Sebastian wrote, “Happy Birthday Mae! ❤️❤️.”

The girls have been baking up a storm during Sydney’s lockdown, and Kate’s posted plenty of photos and Instagram stories to commemorate their cherished cooks.

In July, the former actor posted a picture of Mae taking over in the kitchen while they made cinnamon doughnut puffs.

Kate, who assumed the role of sous-chef, captioned the moment, “Was happy to play Sous-Chef to this little monkey in our house this afternoon! 👩🏼‍🍳💗👩🏼‍🍳.”

Mae was born in 2014, and in an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly, Kate revealed how much she loves motherhood and how the role has become her whole world.

“My only fear is that I will become a complete hermit and never leave the house because I adore being with her. I want to spend every minute with her and talk to her,” she said at the time.

In 2015, she repeated a similar sentiment during a candid chat with The Morning Show’s Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

“I think she’s divine, she’s the greatest achievement I’ve ever had, and she’s wonderful,” she said.

It’s highly likely that Mae is feeling lucky to have such a dedicated mother for her lockdown birthday, which will be one to remember forever.
