It’s been nine long years since Kate Ritchie last graced our screens; in 2013, she reprised her long-running Home and Away role as Sally Fletcher to commemorate the show’s 25th anniversary.
But Kate is finally returning to acting!
During its Upfronts event, Channel Seven announced that Kate will star alongside Erik Thompson, Ryan Johnson, Catherine Văn-Davies and Aaron Glenane in an upcoming series, The Claremont Murders.
The Claremont Murders will be a two-part miniseries telling the story of one of Australia’s most notorious crimes and will air in 2023.
Kate shared her excitement about the series on Instagram and wrote, “What a humbling experience to work on this production.”
She also shared a synopsis for the upcoming investigative drama.

“[The Claremont Murders] explores how the disappearance of three young women in Perth in the late 1990s launched a 25-year investigation by the police and one tenacious journalist.”
It took 25 years to solve the crime, and the series is the harrowing true story of how the Claremont Killer was caught.
At the time (in the 1990’s), the dissapearances of three young women from Claremont set off the biggest unsolved murder case in West Australian history.
The show will premiere at 8:30pm on Easter Monday on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
