Kate Ritchie has taken to social media to “rejoice” in her daughter Mae by sharing a picture of the little one in all her beautiful glory.

Up until now, the radio host has only ever posted photos of the three-year-old with her face obscured from view.

The photo, which shows the adorable tot smiling in a pinafore dress, long sleeve white t-shirt and bubblegum-pink shoes, was shared alongside a lengthy caption explaining the sudden change of mind.

“I don’t often share this most precious being but sometimes I am tired of protecting her and want to rejoice in her 🌈,” the post began. “She is full of wonder in so many ways and she also helps me to simply be me.”

The former Home And Away star went on to credit her daughter with helping her to “appreciate the little things” and “realise I can have a go at anything” — among other beautiful sentiments.

Kate shares Mae with husband Stuart Webb. They tied the knot in 2010 after dating for two years.

Kate, 39, opened up about life with Mae while speaking with The Weekly back in 2016.

“She’s lovely! She’s so happy and has the most mischievous infectious laugh,” she said. “She’s so loving and over the last six weeks she’s actually started to speak a little more. She’s turning into a little person.”

“I love [motherhood]. I really do. My only fear is that I will become a complete hermit and never leave the house because I adore being with her. I want to spend every minute with her and talk to her.”

Kate also revealed that she hopes to hear the pitter-patter of more tiny feet in the not too distant future.

“We definitely do want more children,” she said. “I’m not sure how soon that will be. We’ve settled nicely into our life, but I’m also aware that I don’t want to leave it too long either.”

She added: “It’ll be a nice few years on the horizon.”
