The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have barely announced their happy news, but bets are already in on what they will be naming their baby.
While non-traditional names have been ruled out, attention has turned to the name Elizabeth as we come to the end of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year.
The top five names according to Ladbrokes betting agency in the UK include: Elizabeth at 8/1, Frances at 10/1, John at 10/1, Charles at 10/1 and Diana at 12/1.
“Kate and Wills pulled the wool over our eyes but now attention turns to the name of the baby and it looks like the couple will stick with a traditional name. If they’re expecting a girl, who better to name her after than Her Majesty,” Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told the UK’s Metro.
Last week punters in the UK were whipped into a betting frenzy following broody behaviour from William after he accepted a jumpsuit from a well-wisher and said, “I’ll keep that.”
