Kate, 35, has only recently split from her fiancé Matt Bellamy after a three-year –engagement while Coldplay frontman Chris of course split from wife Gwyneth Paltrow a year ago after a decade together.
So, together the pair formed their own family day out, banding together to take their kids to the beach at Malibu.
Kate looked amazing as she showed off her toned bikini body while rocker Chris, 38, wore a wetsuit to hit the waves.
Kate and Chris’s ex Gwyneth are old pals too.
“I look up to Gwyneth and how she has been in her life,” Kate told Harper’s Bazaar in 2012. “She’s the real deal.”

While there was no indication that the pair’s day out was romantic, looking at the blonde toned duo alongside the kids – they would certainly make for one photogenic family unit!
