Kate Ceberano has claimed that staff kicked her out of a Qantas lounge for wearing open-toe sandals.
“Disappointed to be evicted from the Qantas Lounge after being a member since 1990 for wearing ‘inappropriate footwear’? hahaha (new rules),” Ceberano posted on her Facebook page.
The Qantas Domestic Lounge Dress Guidelines specify in its dress code that thongs and bare feet are a breach of its rule.
Gym wear, ugg boots, board shorts as well as revealing, unclean and torn clothing are also not permitted.
The rules were put in place earlier this year after complaints were made from passengers that dress standards had dropped.
Ceberano was travelling to Brisbane ahead of her appearance at the Caloundra Music Festival.
