Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough are through hiding their happy engagement news!
The duo, who have been dating for just over a year, have been pictured at a swanky lunch with Jasmine making no effort to conceal a sparkling ring on that all-important finger.
Taking to Instagram, the shoe designer shared a picture of herself alongside her new fiancé and a group of friends as they dined at Otto Ristorante in the Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo.
The 34-year-old’s followers were quick to share their congratulations, with many speculating that the lazy affair may have been thrown in honour of a newly-formed bridal party.
“Love the ring! 💍 Wedding/Bridal party talk over lunch? 🌹💖,” one commenter wrote, while another added: “I guess that means you’re engaged!”
A third noted: “Congratulations Jas. So excited for you both such wonderful news 💗”
Speaking with The Daily Telegraph, a good friend of the couple has since confirmed the happy news.
“They are very happy and enjoying this special time together,” the insider told the publication, adding that the proposal was still “very new.”
This isn’t the first photo we’ve seen of the former model’s new bling, which appears to champion a large princess-cut diamond.
Karl recently took to Instagram to post a photo of the bride-to-be on her 34th birthday, which showed the sparkler (albeit slightly out of focus).
“Happy birthday beauty @jasyarby”, Karl captioned the pic, neglecting to comment on the massive engagement ring.
The photo came just hours after the Today star’s ex-wife, Cassandra Thorburn, opened up about the breakdown of their 21-year marriage.
In an interview with Woman’s Day, the mother-of-three said she had been given a “second chance” at the life she truly deserves.
“I’ve really turned a corner – I often look back and am comforted at just how far I’ve come. I’m unstoppable, and I’ve never felt more empowered.”
Karl too has spoken out about the highly-publicised split.
“I certainly did not expect to meet someone five months after I broke up with my wife,” he told Stellar magazine in a lengthy interview.
“That was not planned, I did not know her before. I met her on a boat in Sydney. We have a really lovely relationship, but it’s got to be slow for a variety of reasons. I’m not going to share too much on that publicly because I don’t think that’s fair on anyone involved.”
He continued: “It was unexpected and lovely, but we’re going to try to keep a level of privacy to how we’re going and what we’re planning, especially considering I have three beautiful children who need to be taken into consideration.”
Congratulations again to the happy couple!
