Just when you thought Kanye West couldn’t get any weirder, he went out there and surprised us all.
In an epic eight-minute rant, the singer made more than a few odd statements that reduced even the talkative Ellen Degeneres to absolute speechlessness.
See Kanye’s crazy response to Ellen’s questions here! Post continues below.
“What’s the point of thinking?” Yeezy asked, after Ellen said his wife Kim Kardashian had suggested he think about what he writes on social media before posting.
He went on to defend his often erratic comments, saying he has no regrets about anything he’s posted… ever.
Then, after Ellen suggested his reaching out to Mark Zuckerberg to ask for $53 million might have gone down better Kanye had asked via Facebook instead of Twitter, he launched into a seven minute speech about how he’s got the knowledge to improve our world, he just needs the funds.
“I understand Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t use Twitter, even though I have had dinner with him and his wife and told them about how I wanted to help the world, and he said he’d help me, and blah blah blah,” Kanye said.
He continued: “That’s how it feels though, it’s like the pursuit of happiness, it’s like you’re trying to sell this bone density machine, you know in that movie.”
Much of his speech was met with confused looks from the audience but Kanye didn’t seem to register their awkward response.
“I feel that if I had more resources, I could help more people. I have ideas that can make the human race’s existence within our 100 years better. Period… Whatever perception you have of me, starting with the truth, started with what everyone’s thinking, start there, put some dope s–t with it.”
Then he bizarrely moved on to artists and entrepreneurs.
“Picasso is dead, Steve Jobs is dead, [Walt] Disney is dead. Name someone living that you can name in the same breath as them. We’re one race, the human race, we’re a blip in the existence of the universe and we’re constantly trying to pull each other down. It’s like I’m shaking talking about it, I feel I can make a difference while I’m here, I feel I can make a difference through my skill set.”
After the nearly seven-minute talk came to a close, the controversial rapper rounded out the erratic chat by claiming his skill set was unique because he had a medical condition that gave him the power to “see sounds”.
He also and spoke of how he wanted to become the “Michael Jackson of apparel.”
Right.
