According to TMZ, Kanye West’s hospital stay at the UCLA Medical Center in LA will continue over the Thanksgiving break and he’s in a “bad mental state.”
Initially, it was believed the 39-year-old was suffering from sleep deprivation but the website alleges “the problems go much deeper.”
Earlier in the week, the star cancelled the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour dates. TMZ report his insurance will cover the cost of the 21 concerts he’s had to pull the pin on.
Supportive wife Kim reportedly visited her husband on Thursday for several hours before heading to a Thanksgiving gathering with her family at little sister Kylie Jenner’s home, People report.
US Weekly reports this latest drama has rocked Kim to her core.
“Kim has been very concerned and supportive. Seeing Kanye like this is scary for her,” an insider explained to US Weekly.
Family insiders claim the holidays are a hard time for the father-of-two.
In a sad turn of events, The Daily Mail reports that his breakdown was triggered by the death of his mum Donda West, who passed away from plastic surgery complications in 2007.
“Any time around the holidays is tough for him, he is an only child. But he was very close to his mum, so this time of year… it’s really difficult,” an unnamed family member told The Mail.
Kanye was hospitalised on Monday when fears for his mental state were raised during a visit to his trainer, Harley Pasternak. The father-of-two reportedly had to be restrained on the way to hospital.
Kim was set to return to the spotlight for the first time since her horrifying Paris robbery ordeal at a charity gala in New York but instead rushed to her husband’s side.
