Just when we thought Justin Timberlake couldn’t get any more perfect, he’s been swooning about the joys of being a dad.
The father of one appeared on the US Today show, and couldn’t help but gush about how fatherhood has changed him.
“It changes everything,” JT beamed.
“You literally just wake up, look in the mirror and go… ‘I have no idea what I’m doing!'”
He and wife Jessica Biel welcomed son Silas in April 2015, and the singer joked that he wrote his latest song, Can’t Stop The Feeling, with his bub in mind.
“I don’t know that it was directly inspired to be something that my son could listen to of mine, because there’s a lot of music he can’t listen to of mine. At least not yet!”
He also sung his “superhuman” wife Jessica’s praises.
“It’s crazy, I have this new appreciation for both of them,” he explained.
“You know, her and him. It’s humiliating and it’s humbling at the same time.”
The couple, who married in an Italian ceremony estimated to have cost $USD6.5 million, will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary next week.
They often share sweet snaps on social media, and Justin got gushy on Jessica’s birthday earlier this year when he wrote “Happy BAE-DAY, baby!! I can’t put into words what you mean to me… You are the GREATEST Mommy and Wife a man could ever ask for. I love you to the MOON AND BACK!!! –Your Huz”.
Cute!
And we’re sure he’ll have his family’s support for his next project, which is a in-depth look at what he does best – performing on stage.
Following the huge success of his 20/20 Experience Tour in 2014, Justin wanted to capture and preserve the final day of the tour. The result is his latest offering, the concert film Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids, which will debut on Netflix this week.
The film was made in conduction with award-winning director Jonathan Demme, and Justin admitted that showing off the real him feels daunting: “This isn’t hiding behind a character, so to speak.”
“It’s just that moment of, like, ‘Wait, other people are going to see this.'”
“There is something a little more personal about the way that Jonathan captured us. I feel really proud that the people that I shared the stage with, that they’re so important to me, and they’re every bit the star of this movie.”
