A week after Angelina Jolie announced she was divorcing Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston’s husband Justin Theroux has given his take on the situation.
The 45-year-old actor told Business Insider, “As a child of divorce all I can say is that’s terrible news for those children and that’s all you can really say. It’s boring to sort of comment on anything else. People are having a bad time, that’s horrible.”
Theroux spoke to Business Insider on Monday while doing press for his next movie, The Girl on the Train and used the opportunity to call his wife being brought into divorce narrative “nonsense”.
“There’s an endless appetite for trash, apparently, though everyone would say that they don’t have that appetite,” said Justin. “But I think a lot of people do because people buy it. But there are bigger things to bitch about. It’s shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world.”
Jennifer and Justin wed in a secret ceremony last year.
We don’t know if Justin’s recent comments will help or hinder Jennifer’s cause to not be swept up into gossip about Brangelina’s break up.
However Justin, who got engaged to 47-year-old Aniston in 2012 after 18 months of dating and tied the knot last year in a very secret ceremony, isn’t the only one close to the former Friend’s star inserting themselves into the split.

Last week Jen’s best friend, Chelsea Handler took to her talk show Chelsea to slam Angelina and revel in Brad’s misery.
During her monologue on Thursday the comedian called Oscar-winner Ange a “f—ing lunatic” as she speculated about the power couple’s reasons for divorce.
“There are rumours that part of problem was that Brad was allegedly drinking and smoking too much weed. I wonder why he needed to self-medicate,” Handler said on her Netflix show. “Maybe because he could have been spending the last 12 years at Lake Como, hanging out with George Clooney and Matt Damon, instead of being stuck in a house with 85 kids speaking 15 different languages.”
Adding: “Oh yeah — because he married a f–king lunatic, that’s why.”
This isn’t the first time Jen’s BFF has had less-than kind words for Jolie. In a 2010 comedy set she called the actress a “homewrecker.”
