Less than a week after the devastating death of her mother, Julia Roberts has headed back to work.
The Academy Award winning actress lost her mother, Betty Lou Bredemus to lung cancer on February 19.
Ever the professional, Julia was back on set the following Monday for her upcoming film The Secret In Their Eyes.
The pain is no doubt still fresh for the 47-year-old, who has had a tough year, after losing her half-sister Nancy Motes to a drug overdose last February.
Betty had been battling the disease since November 2013 after discovering the tumour during a routine check-up.
Julia was joined on set by co-star Nicole Kidman, who has also recently experienced the pain of losing a parent. Nicole lost her father Dr Antony Kidman, five months ago after he suffered a heart attack while visiting her sister Antonia in Singapore.
Nicole was extremely close to her father.
“We are all heartbroken but knowing we are in the hearts and thoughts of others is so comforting. Sending love, Nic and Keith xx,” she said on Facebook following his death.
Nicole and Julia’s new film is a remake of a 2009 Argentine thriller. It also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, who is said to be the romantic lead opposite Nicole.
