Jules Sebastian has posted a touching tribute to her husband of 14 years, Guy, in celebration of his 40th birthday.
The Battle Scars singer shot to fame after being crowned winner of the inaugural season of Australian Idol in 2003, cementing his place in the hearts of Australians everywhere.
“Happy Birthday to the boy who refuses to grow up,” the post by Jules read, depicting a school photo of her husband alongside a video of Guy playing what seems to be the Watch Ya’ Mouth game.
Fellow celebrities shared their birthday wishes for Guy on the post. The Morning Show co-host Larry Emdur wrote: “The oldest little boy I’ve ever met ❤️❤️” alongside a sweet happy birthday message from Love Island Australia host Sophie Monk.
The birthday celebrations come just one week after Guy and Jules returned from a whirlwind European vacation, which saw them visit the likes of Venice and Paris.
It has been a turbulent time for the Sebastian clan in recent months after Guy’s former manager, Titus Day, was named guilty for embezzling more than $620,000 of the singer’s earnings.
At the time, Guy wrote on his Instagram that he was “grateful” that this painful chapter of his life was over.
“It is not only shocking but also heartbreaking to discover the depth of betrayal and dishonesty that I uncovered over these last 4+ years,” Sebastian wrote.
“There’s nothing more important than trust in an artist/manager relationship. The truth is, Titus was more than just my manager, he was one of my closest mates.
“This process [going through court proceedings], has made me even more grateful for the incredible, honest and hardworking manager and team that I have around me now. Not once did you leave my side”.
And now in his 40th year, almost 20 years since he first catapulted to global stardom, Guy is set to tour once more along the east coast this November and December, traveling through Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland (and even a stopover in Canberra) with his T.R.U.T.H. ON THE EAST SIDE TOUR.
One dollar from every ticket sold will go directly to the Sebastian Foundation, a charity set up by Guy and his wife Jules to promote adolescent mental health and wellbeing.
Onwards and upwards, Guy.
