At such a young age, Josephine Langford took the young adult genre by storm for her portrayal of Tessa Young in the After movies, but the Australian actress’ career on film has only just begun.
Born August 18, 1997, Joesphine grew up in Perth, Western Australia and started taking acting classes at just 13 years old.
When After was released in 2019, Josephine was only 21 years old. Now, with the fourth and final movie out, After Everything, Josephine is 26 years old.
Her latest venture in the entertainment industry, is Prime Video’s romantic comedy The Other Zoey alongside Outerbanks star Drew Starkey. Within mere days of release, the movie was a hit on social media.
Other than these recent hits, Josephine has starred in Moxie (2021), Wish Upon (2017), Into the Dark: They Come Knocking and Gypsy Blood.
But acting seems to be in Josephine’s blood after her sister, Katherine Langford has also starred in various movies and television series including 13 Reasons Why; Love, Simon and Knives Out.
Despite working in the same field, the sister’s acting careers have not yet crossed paths and its possible they won’t ever.
“Everyone asks me that, and honestly the answer is no,” Josephine told W Magazine in April 2019. “Not to sound arrogant, but we both sort of know what we’re doing.”
Fans even believe the sisters – who could be confused for twins – are feuding after the pair have not been pictured together nor do they share photos of each other.
Josephine admitted to Refinery29 she “laughed” at the rumours.
“I just don’t understand the internet sometimes. I think that rumors are crazy,” she said.
Given Josephine deleted her Instagram some time ago, there isn’t much opportunity to deep dive into her personal life, including her friends or even who she is dating.
In the midst of the After franchise, there were rumours she was dating co-star Hero Fiennes Tiffen, however, the pair denied it on numerous occasions.
