Actor Johnny Depp has given his first public interview since news of his split from Amber Heard exploded across the world.
The 53-year-old took time out of his busy schedule to appear on the Jonesey’s Jukebox radio talk show on a US station alongside his Hollywood Vampires bandmates.
But despite the star opening up for the first time since things with his ex Amber turned very nasty indeed, he remained tight-lipped about his upcoming divorce battle.
He also chose to stay silent over the allegations of domestic abuse still hanging over his head – the restraining order from the actor’s estranged wife still in place.
Since news of the messy divorce broke, the Alice Through The Looking Glass star has thrown himself into music.
In the past few months he’s been playing several gigs and touring with his band Hollywood Vampires.

During his radio interview, the actor turned musician was happy to talk about all things music, including sharing a few behind-the-scenes stories of his European tours.
He admits his first love was music and he only became an actor to pay the bills.
“I needed to pay rent,” said Depp. “Somebody said, ‘Why don’t you go meet an agent. My agent is with Nick Cage,’ so she sent me on an audition for something and I got it.”
The interview comes off the back of Johnny Depp’s ex fiancée Winona Ryder speaking out about abuse claims levelled at the actor.

She said she didn’t want to blame anyone but expressed she found the idea of Johnny hurting anyone “unimaginable”.
The Edward Scissorhands actress went on to say that the actor had never laid a hand on her or treated her in that way.
