The actor has listed the French Estate on Côte d’Azur Sotheby’s International Realty and is hoping to sell the 37 acre property for an approximate $26 million price tag.

But the estate’s next home owner will not only be able to enjoy the $10 million restoration Depp put the property through, but the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s personal collection of DVD’s, art, books and other belongings which the actor will leave there.

“The renovation of the estate has really been a true labour of love for Johnny. Over several years, he painstakingly restored and decorated all the houses of the village one by one, bringing his very personal touch to the project and creating a property of exceptional character,” says Alexander Kraft, chairman and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty France.

“Where else in the world can guests sleep in a converted village church, sample wines in a tasting cave that resembles a “Pirates of the Caribbean” – set, and in the evening meet in an authentic Provencal village restaurant and bar?”

It’s worth $26 million, right?

The property boasts a restaurant which Depp used as “basically the dining room” according to Kraft.

Depp purchased the property – which is near the Plan-de-la-Tour village – in 2001.

The property also includes its own chapel and several guest cottages according to the listing.

“Johnny’s used the property extensively to get away from the Hollywood hustle, recharge his batteries and reconnect with nature,” said Kraft.

“He truly loved this property which allowed him to lead a normal, tranquil life and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. It is here where he taught his kids, Lily-Rose and Jack, to appreciate such essential values as respect of nature and a healthy, down-to-earth lifestyle.”

“Johnny has decided to sell the Plan de la Tour – property to close this chapter of his life and move on. He hopes that someone else will enjoy the property as much as he did and bring him or her the same happiness it brought him.”

The estate boasts 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, with Depp restoring the property and decorating it himself.

“The purchaser will be able to not only acquire an exceptional property, but also many personal items of one of the greatest stars of our times.”
