Johnny Depp may be reeling from his nasty divorce battle with Amber Heard, but the actor can now find comfort in the extra $15.4 million sitting in his bank account.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star put eight of his paintings by Jean-Michel Basquiat up for auction at Christie’s in London overnight.
Two of the prized pieces sold for much higher than their expected price, adding huge funds to Johnny’s estimated net worth of $537 million.
Johnny has been an avid Basquiat fan for over 25 years.
One of the pieces titled Pork auctioned for $9.17 million, while another one called Self Portrait was picked up by a bidder for $6.36 million.
Johnny has long been a fan of the American artist’s work, having spent the last 25 years building his collection.

The extra funds have come at a convenient time for the Alice Through The Looking Glass actor, who is currently embroiled in a messy divorce from his wife of 15 months.
Johnny’s divorce turned ugly when the actress filed for a restraining order against her estranged husband.
Amber, who didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement, cited “irreconcilable differences” when filing for divorce from the actor in May.
She has since been granted a restraining order against the father-of-two following claims he was abusive during their relationship.
