While most 16-year-olds hope to get a part-time job at the local super market, Lily-Rose has certainly raised the bar.
After strutting in her mother’s footsteps as a model and now Lily-Rose is following in her father’s, having just signed on to do her first major film role.
The rising star is expected to join the cast of The Dancer, a 19th-century drama based on the life of American performer Loie Fuller.
According to Variety magazine Lily-Rose will portray Isadora Duncan, “a San Francisco native who grew up in poverty and became a dance prodigy, quickly achieving worldwide fame”.
The inspiring teen will certainly draw from real life, like her character, Lily-Rose identifies “with the LGBT” community.
Filming is expected to commence at the end of this month with the 16-year-old joining an impressive line-up of international stars including, Gaspard Ulliel, Melanie Thierry, Francois Damiens and Louis-Do De Lencquesaing.
Acting isn’t unchartered waters for Johnny Depp’s daughter, who acted alongside her famous dad in Kevin Smith’s horror True North film trilogy, Tusks, released in 2014 and the sequel,The Yoga Hosers, set to release next year.
The striking 16-year-old who has modelled for Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel Haute Couture show in Paris, will also star alongside megastar, Natalie Portman.
The young actress has been cast as Natalie’s little sister in next year’s 1930s-inspired Planetarium.
