Johnny Depp rep denies claim the actor abandoned Pirates of the Caribbean film in a desperate attempt to “salvage his marriage” with Amber Heard

The rep for Johnny Depp has denied claims made earlier today reporting that the actor jumped ship, again. This time he has walked out of filming Pirates of the Caribbean to save his marriage with wife, Amber Heard.

The 51-year-old’s publicist Michael Singer slammed any claims that Johnny Depp deserted filming, telling the Brisbane Times, “I can’t go into detail on our filming schedules or the movements of individuals but I can tell you that nothing in that report has any relation to reality.”

Adding, “Mr Depp has been filming on schedule. It’s business as usual with all participants working.”

The Pirates film has faced many halts, with reports emerging that Johnny once again was leaving and halting production. This time it’s been reported by the Gold Coast Bulletin that Johnny has rushed back to the States to in a bid “salvage his marriage” of only four months.

This follows the controversy surrounding Johnny and Amber illegally bringing their two dogs, Boo and Pistol into the country. As a result, a chartered jet was organised for the pooches return home after the Australian government threatened to put down the terriers. Amber reportedly followed them last Wednesday.

A source on the set of $250 million Disney production told the Gold Coast Bulletin that “he’s [Johnny] going back to the States on the first available private charter flight he can get on.”

Just last month, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard put on a show of unity when they arrived back in Australia following Johnny’s hand injury.

Despite Amber and Johnny being spotted united in late April, where they were holding hands and waving to waiting fans at Brisbane airport, speculation has been rife about the Hollywood couple being on the fritz.

Just weeks after filming on the Australian set of Johnny Depp’s Pirates of the Caribbean was put on hold when he hurt his hand during a “wild weekend bender”, it’s believed his fledgling marriage to Hollywood actress Amber Heard is falling apart.

“There are rumours on the set that he was in rehab,” an insider told People magazine.

“As soon as Johnny arrived in Australia, he was partying hard.”

A source close to the couple told In Touch that Johnny’s love of drinking and broken promises have strained their marriage to the point that they’re “barely talking.”

“Amber is constantly worried about him. He’ll go days without calling or texting her.”

While another source close to the couple told People they were “leading separate lives.”

Here’s hoping the actor can steer his love life towards calmer waters!
