The injury was a result of an horrific balcony fall at a Coffs Harbour golf course over the weekend.

An official statement given by Kerri-Anne’s manager, Sean Anderson, revealed that an MRI conducted late Monday showed a bone fracture between the C2 and C3 vertebrae, which are located at the very base of the neck.

“John underwent a lengthy operation last night,” says Sean. “The doctors said the surgery went well,”

“Doctors tried to remove the ventilator this morning and that was not successful. They will continue to try over the coming days. John is in a comfortable condition and is in the best of hands at Royal North Shore Hospital.”

John’s loving wife has not left his side since he was airlifted to the hospital from Coffs Harbour on Monday. She was seen outside hospital grounds on Tuesday, after the night’s procedure.

The couple were enjoying a night of celebrations at the picturesque Bonville Golf Resort, laughing with friends and posing for photos when he stepped back from the restaurant’s ledge and took a nasty tumble onto the lawn, landing on his head.

The British businessman was placed into an induced coma before being flown to ICU to be treated by specialists at the Royal North Shore Hospital.

Naturally, friends of the couple are rushing to support both John and KAK in this time of need.
