John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston are determined to have another child, in the wake of their son Jett’s tragic passing 18 months ago.
Amid rumours she is already pregnant, sources close to the couple confirm they have been looking into having a baby, despite Kelly – who is 47 – being well past the age most women conceive naturally.
“A baby is the number one priority in Kelly and John’s life right now,” a source close to the couple told a US magazine last week.
“John and Kelly have so much love to give and are so family-oriented, another baby would go far in mending their broken hearts.”
Fertility experts say that at Kelly’s age, it is likely she would have to resort to fertility treatment, but it is not unheard of for women to fall pregnant naturally.
“The odds are one in thousands, but it has happened,” says Dr Mark Perloe. “It’s likely at her age, she’d use donor eggs and fertility treatment.”
John, 56, and Kelly have spoken out about the heartbreak over losing their son, saying Jett was “the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for”.
