Jodi Gordon and Braith Anasta called time on their relationship in December 2015, after three years of marriage.

But that time apart hasn’t stopped the pair from making headlines…

The once-golden couple have found themselves in the spotlight again this week, thanks to a series of comments made by Braith while appearing on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show.

The interview, which began innocently enough with chatter about the ex-NRL player’s new flame, quickly swayed to the subject of Braith and Jodi’s highly-publicised divorce.

“Are you divorced?” co-host Kyle Sandilands asked. “Did you get the ring back?”

‘Now way, I wish!” the 35-year-old responded, before adding: “That was a bad investment …[She] probably bought a few bags or something with it…handbags.”

Mere hours later, Jodi took to her Instagram to upload a rather telling image which appeared to respond to the not-so-subtle comments.

The former Home and Away star posted a quote pulled from a particularly rousing speech delivered by Michelle Obama in 2016. The quote reads: “When someone is cruel or acts like a bully, you don’t stoop to their level. No, our motto is, when they go low, we go high.”

She captioned the powerful quote: “#shinebrightlikeadiamond.”

We’re sure the 32-year-old’s reference to diamonds isn’t lost on her ex-hubby!

In 2015 Woman’s Day online confirmed that the couple, who share a daughter together, had sadly parted ways.

Reflecting on the demise of her marriage, the actress and model told Sunday Style it was the right thing to do.

“It’s really hard for me to comment on that stuff without causing a drama, to be honest. But what I will say is [for] anyone who was close to us, it wasn’t a surprise that [the split] happened. There were many people who were surprised, but it wasn’t for us or our immediate family,” she explained to the publication.

Despite their struggles as a couple, Jodi and Braith are working together as parents.

The parents hope to maintain a sense of normalcy for Aleeia.

By all accounts the exes are determined to co-parent their two-year-old daughter, Aleeia, harmoniously.

“We are still supportive, and we can do things as a family. [Braith’s] an amazing father, he really is. He has been a great support to me, too. I feel pretty lucky having that relationship at the moment, and especially with it being so early, I feel lucky to have that,” the brunette beauty added.

Meanwhile, Braith appears to have found happiness in a new romance with personal trainer Rachael Lee.
