Jim Carrey’s ex-girlfriend reportedly received a text message from her mother calling her a “failure” days before she took her own life.
Cathriona White commit suicide on the third anniversary of her father’s death and law enforcement sources have learned the 30-year-old attempted suicide in 2012, report TMZ.
White’s father, Pat, died after a battle with brain cancer.
Police investigating White’s death have confirmed the 30-year-old received the text message from her biological mother days before taking her own life.
This week it was also revealed White was married to another man at the time of her death.
She wed cameraman Mark Burton last year, but had left him for Carrey and intended to get a divorce.
White’s body has reportedly been given to Burten and the cameraman is working with White’s family on the funeral arrangements.
A day after White’s death, Jim Carrey released a statement saying: “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
The two had been dating since May and split days before White’s death.
