Jill and Jessa Duggar have broken their silence over their brother Josh’s molestation scandal, revealing their “hurt, anger and devastation”.
The sisters discuss the abuse claims in a promotional clip for their new TV series Jill & Jess: Counting On.
Jill, 24, breaks down in tears in the clip, saying she still cries “a lot”, while Jessa, 22, a newlywed with a baby on the way, said the incident had ruined what should have been one of the happiest times of her life.
“We were devastated,” Jessa said. “We couldn’t believe it.”
The sisters, who rose to fame on 19 Kids and Counting, said their family would not be broken by the scandal.
“We will come out of this fire stronger as a family unit,” she said.
Josh checked into a Christian rehab facility in August after admitting he had cheated on his wife Anna and was addicted to pornography. The latest news came months are he admitted to molesting five underage girls including some of his sisters.
