Jessica Simpson is heading back to what she loves best, with the stunning blonde beauty planning to relaunch her music career.
“It’s her New Year’s resolution,” a source close to Jessica toldIn Touchmagazine, adding that she has even started building a home studio and “formed a team to relaunch her music career!”
Jessica took a step back from music following the release of her holiday albumHappy Christmasin 2010, and has spent the past few years focusing on her clothing and accessories lines,while raising her daughter Maxwell Drew and son Ace Knute with her husband Eric Johnson.
The singer-turned fashion mogul who has built herself a fashionempire, now wants to return to her roots.
“The plan is to get the new album recorded this year and go on tour the following,” the source said.
For Jessica, who has “missed performing” this has been playing on her mind for some time.
Back in February the singer dropped byGood Morning America, confiding that she wanted to head back to the recording studio so that her family can share her passion for music.
“I want to sing again. I want my daughter to see me onstage. My fiancé [now husband] has never even watched me perform, which is crazy, but that’s my passion, that’s my love, it’s everything that I am,” she said.
