A source close to the singer revealed to The Daily Telegraph’s Confidential that Jessica has parted ways with her longtime stylist.
The pair apparently called it a day in the wake of their fallout surrounding her disappearance at this year’s Melbourne Cup, which caused her to cancel her national anthem performance.
Jessica was just minutes away from heading out to perform when her Dolce and Gabbana boots were apparently deemed inappropriate by racing officials, because they were not from Myer.
“I’d be happy to wear thongs! That’s just the person I am. I’d be happy to wear a trackie suit, get on there barefoot,” the 26-year-old revealed to 2GB’s Alan Jones.
“I thought I looked pretty deadly. [The] dress was perfectly in the right form, the fascinator was amazing, the shoes were a problem,” she added.
While neither are yet to comment on the claims, just three days ago Mickey posted a shot of Jess’s In Style Australia cover, which Katherine Green styled, and gushed, “Very proud of my friend for one of the best covers I’ve seen this year. #maubabe.”
“Well done to a stylist who I adore, Katherine Green @msgreenygreen @victoriabaron @justinridler @michmcquillan and @instylemag for the continued love and support you give JM. That killer Gucci dress never looked better @jessicamauboy1,” he concluded.
Meanwhile the former Australian Idol pro explained she was “scared” about the Melbourne Cup situation, and it was giving her “bad energy” which led to a panic attack.
“It was devastating really. It wasn’t directed to me but I knew something was wrong – I got spooked,” she admitted.
Mikey and Jess have worked together for years, he is the man credited with overhauling her fashion sense and he looks to her as his number one client.
